During the visit of Moon Jae-In, President of South Korea, to the Air Liquide hydrogen station at Place de l'Alma, Paris, France, Benoît Potier, Chairman and CEO of Air Liquide, announced the installation of four new hydrogen stations for mobility in South Korea as well as the project to build two new stations in Paris.
In South Korea, the government recently announced its intention to accelerate the development of the hydrogen sector in mobility, and plans to invest around €2 billion. The plan aims to encourage the creation of public-private partnerships with a target of 310 stations and 16 000 hydrogen-powered vehicles across the country by 2022.
Air Liquide will participate in this plan’s operational implementation.
When used in a fuel cell, hydrogen combines with oxygen from the air to produce electricity, releasing only water.
