Moeve has announced that its new 2G biofuels plant in Palos de la Frontera, Huelva, Spain, is progressing as planned, with over 50% complete and the company expects to begin production by the end of 2026, as announced in a Linkedin post.

This facility will be part of the largest production complex for these renewable fuels in Southern Europe.
Some key figures include:
220 000 m2 already built.
€1.2 billion in accumulated investment.
Flexible production capacity of up to 500 000 tpy of SAF and HVO.
It will generate 2000 jobs in the region, both direct and indirect.
It will prevent 3 million tpy of CO2 emissions, equivalent to 4% of road transport emissions in Spain.
