Optimized Gas Treating, Inc. (OGT), the developer of ProTreat®, has announced the release of ProTreat Version 6.0, which includes a complete state of the art sulfur plant package that can be fully integrated with upstream AGRUs, AGEs and SWSs, and with downstream quench towers and TGTUs. The new feature includes the ability to model sulfur plant degassing processes as well as thermal oxidisation. With SO2 incorporated as a rate component, users may now couple the thermal oxidiser/sulfur package with SO2 scrubbing to model alternative tail gas treating processes such as MECS’s DynaWave® and Wellman Lord.

In order to introduce the new sulfur plant package, the feature is being made available to all ProTreat customers completely free of charge until 31 December 2016.

Optimized Gas Treating, Inc. is a privately held Texas corporation that licenses its proprietary ProTreat gas treating simulation software to engineers, operators and suppliers serving the refining, gas processing, ammonia, synthesis gas and carbon capture industries. ProTreat is the one of the most reliable gas treating simulators in the business, offering unrivalled predictive accuracy with no guesswork, reducing risk associated with process guarantees and regularly adding new capabilities to meet customers’ growing needs.
