The catalyst has been operating stably for over a year in a 500 000 tpy PDH unit at a Chinese petrochemical company, with all key performance indicators surpassing international benchmarks.
This achievement marks a breakthrough for Rezel in this critical technology. Despite accounting for over 70% of global PDH capacity, China has long faced challenges including high licensing fees and supply chain vulnerabilities.
Rezel's catalyst demonstrates excellent performance: propane conversion rate 44%, propylene selectivity 88.2%, unit capacity utilisation 108%, reduced coking 30%, mechanical strength improved 40%, improved pressure drop control, industry-leading time in reaction and regeneration, and CO in tail gas below 3 mol%.
With a full-range product portfolio covering fixed-bed, fluidised-bed, and moving-bed dehydrogenation catalysts, Rezel operates a nearly 10 000 tpy PDH catalyst production facility in Zhoushan, Zhejiang. As China’s second-largest catalyst manufacturer, and the largest private catalyst manufacturer, Rezel produces over 100 types of catalysts annually, exporting to more than 20 countries and regions including the Americas, Asia, Europe, and the Middle East.
