Nakilat has assumed full ship management and operations of Q-Max LNG carrier Lijmiliya from Shell International Trading and Shipping Co. Ltd with effect from 27 October 2020.
This move is part of the second phase of Nakilat's planned fleet management transition programme.
With a cargo carrying capacity of 263 300 m3, Lijmiliya is wholly-owned by Nakilat and chartered by Qatargas. The vessel built in South Korea by Daewoo Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering was delivered in January 2009 and has been in service ever since.
Lijmiliya is the seventh vessel that will come under the management of Nakilat Shipping Qatar Ltd (NSQL) this year, bringing the total number of vessels managed by NSQL to 26, comprising of 22 LNG and 4 LPG carriers.
