Exolum has begun operating the fuel storage and distribution network at Paris-Charles de Gaulle Airport, France, the EU’s largest airport.

Exolum will manage and maintain the fuel distribution facilities after being awarded a 20-year concession by Aéroports de Paris (ADP).

In agreement with the ADP Group, Exolum will invest more than €200 million in the maintenance and improvement of existing storage and supply infrastructure, as well as the development of new capabilities.

To carry out the operation, Exolum has onboarded a team of more than 30 people, almost half of whom come from the outgoing operator. All personnel have undergone a dedicated induction process over several months to ensure alignment with Exolum’s operational standards and corporate values.

The current facilities at Paris-Charles de Gaulle Airport have a storage capacity of 82 000 m3, distributed across two dispatch storage tanks and a hydrant network of more than 81 km. Jorge Guillén, Aviation & Spain Network Lead at Exolum, commented: “Exolum’s aim is to deliver a fuel supply operation that is reliable, efficient, and of the highest service quality for Charles de Gaulle Airport. Significant expertise has been applied by our teams in preparation for this launch, and we will continue to leverage our experience built across numerous airports over many years. Our investment will ensure the airport benefits from modernised infrastructure, enhanced operational efficiency, and improved access to sustainable aviation fuels.”
