Gasoline
The US average retail price of gasoline increased by almost two cents this week to reach US$ 3.69/gal. as of 2 June 2014. This is four cents above year ago figures.
Prices in the Midwest rose by 6 cents to US$ 3.71/gal., but are still 13 cents below prices a year ago. Prices in the Gulf Coast, West Coast, and Rocky Mountain regions all increased by less than a cent, to US$ 3.44, US$ 4.01, and US$ 3.50/gal. respectively. Prices on the East Coast fell one cent to US$ 3.65/gal.
Diesel
The US average retail price of diesel fell by less than a cent to US$ 3.92/gal., five cents more than the same time last year.
Both Midwest and Gulf Coast prices fell by one cent to US$ 3.87/gal. and US$ 3.94/gal. respectively. Prices on the East Coast fell less than a cent to US$ 4.01/gal., and on the West Coast to US$ 4.02/gal. Prices on the Gulf Coast remained unchanged at US$ 3.78/gal.
Propane
US propane stocks increased by 3.7 million bbls last week to 45.8 million bbls as of 30 May 2014, 1.3 million bbls (2.7%) lower than a year ago.
Gulf Coast inventories increased by 2 million bbls and Midwest inventories increased by 1.3 million bbls. East Coast inventories increased by 0.3 million bbls and Rocky Mountains/West Coast inventories increased by 0.2 million bbls.
Propylene non-fuel use inventories accounted for 8.8% of total propane inventories.
