TruStar Energy has opened a public CNG fuelling station in Houston, Texas, US, as part of plans to help facilitate the growth of the natural gas fuel market in Texas.
The station has two traffic lanes and two fast-fill fueling pumps, providing access for commercial vehicles as well as private CNG-powered consumer vehicles. The station is supplied by natural gas from Apache Corporation and accepts commercial fuel cards and all major credit cards.
TruStar plans to open dozens of company-branded public CNG stations along high-traffic US corridors over the next several years. TruStar Energy opened its first company-branded public fuelling station in Orlando, US, in July, a second station in Tulsa, in August.
President of TruStar Energy, Adam Comora, stated: “In Texas, there's a shift taking place in the commercial transportation sector to natural gas and rightfully so — it's domestically produced, abundant and has tremendous economic and environmental benefits over diesel. Our new TruStar Energy CNG public fuelling station in Houston will be a valuable resource for area fleets to operate more efficiently and profitably. This, in turn, will help spur the growth of this cleaner, alternative fuel in Texas.”
