Catalysts 2019

October 29, 2019

An online conference focusing on the latest developments in catalyst technology

Presentations at Catalysts 2019

Tune in from anywhere in the world and learn about cutting edge technology and the latest catalysts developments. Below are details on some of the presentations we have during the online conference.

BASF

Catalytic solutions to overcome IMO challenges

The aim of the presentation is to show the contributions of the most recent FCC catalyst technologies to process heavy residues, which nowadays are being used to manufacture High Sulfur Fuel Oil (HSFO).

In combination with RFCC process technology, refiners have the option to increase the residue processing to minimise, or even stop, the production of fuel oil. This would help refiners to overcome the challenges of the upcoming IMO regulations, and, at the same time, increase refining margin, thereby increasing the production of valuable products such as transportation fuels and petrochemical building blocks.

Shell

The one-team integrated approach to FCCPT/FCC complex performance gains

Processing advantaged FCC feedstock can be economically attractive, but its quality can challenge unit operations. Closely tied with the upstream FCC pretreat unit, optimising FCC operation, margin, and reliability requires an integrated approach. Shell Catalysts & Technologies provides global refiners with differentiated technology enablers, from the newly launched CENTERA GT catalyst portfolio to the industry recognised FCC feed nozzles.

This session will discuss the ‘one-team’ holistic approach to optimising the FCCPT/FCC complex from the point of view of licensors and operators.

Honeywell UOP

Improving CCR reforming profitability by using high density catalysts

Arguably, increasing gasoline and aromatics production is one of today’s greatest challenges for refineries. Operators, constantly on the lookout to find new ways to meet their production goals, research a variety of options, including building new units or de-bottlenecking existing ones.

In this presentation with Honeywell UOP, learn why and how refiners who want to maximise production on existing assets are shifting to high density catalyst for greater gasoline and aromatics productions.
