The Petrochemical Standard (TPS) announced that Shahrin Ismaiyatim has been named Chief Executive Officer.
Former Chief Executive Officer Eric B. Hale will continue as a member of the board of directors and will serve as an advisor to the company.
Ismaiyatim, one of the founding partners of TPS, has been Chief Content Officer since January 2014. In this role he collaborated with a team of experienced editorial and commercial staff, and was responsible for the conceptualisation, procurement, production and publication of proprietary and third-party pricing and analytical content for TPS.
Prior to founding TPS, Ismaiyatim was the Global Editorial Director for Petrochemicals and Soft Commodities at Platts, a division of McGraw-Hill Financials where he managed a team of 35 editorial people responsible for the price assessments and analysis of various petrochemicals, gasoline components and biofuels.
Commenting on his new position, Ismaiyatim said: “I am honored to assume this leadership role and help propel TPS to the next level. TPS was created to fill a need in the market for deeper understanding of the price assessment process by tying the assessments to actual market fundamentals. We’ve built the foundation for our ‘fundamentally different’ approach and the future is very bright for TPS. It’s an exciting time to be leading the company forward and serving the rapidly growing needs of the global petrochemical market.”
